For any of Hiya AI Phone's call related features to work, call forwarding must be enabled. However, call forwarding can be temporarily disabled to address troubleshooting or unrelated carrier issues.
To disable call forwarding and Hiya AI Phone features:
- Open the Hiya AI Phone app
- Open the app settings
- In the Phone preferences section, find the Call Forwarding Status
- Tap Disable

Important note: Call forwarding must be disabled when uninstalling the Hiya AI Phone app. Neglecting to disable call forwarding can result in missed calls.
If we detect that you have removed the Hiya AI Phone app without disabling call forwarding, we will use all available means to reach you so that you can continue receiving calls normally. Depending on your selected preferences, we may contact you via email, text message, or device notification.
