To avoid missed calls and other communication problems, we recommend disabling call forwarding prior to uninstalling the Hiya AI Phone app. However, you can disable call forwarding using your device's dialer or settings.
Dialing your carrier to disable call forwarding
Using your device's phone app, you can send a code to your carrier instructing them to disable call forwarding. In most cases, your carrier's automated system will let you know that the update was successful.
- T-Mobile: Call ##004#
- Verizon: Call *73
- AT&T: Call #21#
If your carrier is not listed above, your carrier may be an MVNO (mobile virtual network operator). In this case, you should search for the parent carrier and follow the above instructions for that carrier.
Although we cannot guarantee its accuracy, you may find your MVNO's parent carrier in this list.
Disabling via Apple iOS settings:
Depending on your carrier and device, you may be able to disable call forwarding in the Settings app.
- Open your device's Settings app
- Tap Apps
- Tap Phone to access your phone settings
- Tap Call Forwarding
- Toggle the Call Forwarding setting to off
Important note: If we detect that you have removed the Hiya AI Phone app without disabling call forwarding, we will use all available means to reach you so that you can continue receiving calls normally. Depending on your selected preferences, we may contact you via email, text message, or device notification.
